What is Hour 72 Ministries?
Hour 72 Ministries is a Christ centered independent living training facility that exists to assist teens and young adults who are aging out of foster care to obtain necessary life skills and marketable trade skills to enable them for success. A much needed resource to bring faith, stability and hope in an effort to break the perpetual cycle of poverty and homelessness.
What is the Need?
Hawaii has the highest homeless population per capita in the United States.
Every year in Hawaii:

150–250 youth age out of foster care

As much as 45% of them will become homeless by their mid 20's

At any given time, ~800–900 youth are unhoused in Hawaii
These aren’t just statistics.
They are young people stepping into adulthood without family, without stability, and often without hope.
Who?

An initial focus on teens currently in foster care age 15-17.

Secondary housing and training programs available for ages 18-21.
How?
Hour 72 Ministies will provide a safe residential and non-residential program to assist youth and young adults by providing training in areas such as:

Personal Finance Management

Business Entrepreneurship

Automotive Repair
-
Culinary Arts
-
Basic Home Repair
-
Basic Healthcare
And a whole lot of Jesus!
